HDR Engineering of the Carolinas, Inc. offers a full range of services, including bus, rail, and roadway planning; environmental planning and NEPA documentation; roadway and structure design; water, sewer and landfill design and permitting; and architectural services. Our public transit experience includes operational analyses, transportation program/project management, public involvement, major investment studies, alternatives analysis, transit system planning, land use and transit-oriented development planning, site location studies, financial planning, environmental impact assessment, noise impact assessments, NEPA documentation and federal transit new starts documentation. HDR is headquartered in Omaha, NE, and has been in the Carolinas since 1961 when the Charlotte office opened. Additional offices are located in Raleigh and Calabash, as well as three offices in South Carolina. More than 150 staff in these offices provide services to municipal, state, federal and private clients.
